Irish Aviation Annual Golf Event Birr

Many congratulations to Peter Dennison and his team, winners of the 2011 Irish Aviation Golf event held at Birr Golf Course. This annual event a highlight of the aviation year saw 112 golfers take on the par 70 course in mixed weather. The event this year raised over €8,000 for the Vincent de paul and since it started in 2000 has raised over €90,000 for the charity.

Cabin Crew Training Course - Introduction to the Career

Simtech Aviation are launching a new Cabin Crew Training programme to prepare students for the stringent airline interview and selection process. The course costs €99 for the day. Participants will be given a course covering the Airlines requirements from Airline Professionals. The Cabin Crew training will be given by qualified Airline Pilot Instructors and Cabin Crew Instructors. Simtech instructors have over 20 years experience with major Airlines evaluating candidates for positions as Cabin Crew working both long and short haul.
Students will get an insight into the daily routine of a Cabin Crew member. They will be told what is expected of them as Cabin Crew and vital tips to get them through the interview process. Selection by the Airline is only the first stage!
Simtech will take them through the Training process, the exams they have to pass, the safety and fire fighting knowledge they will require and the First Aid knowledge they will need. They will be guided on the Dress and grooming required and they will take part in workshops discussing Crew Resource Management (CRM). Aircraft accident case studies will be discussed and the reasons why they happened examined. The training in Dublin is carried out at Simtech facilities. Training will also be carried out at hotel locations around the country by Airline Crew Training. More details from 01 8448073

Ryder Cup Helicopter Shuttle

Simtech are pleased to announce details of the dedicated helicopter shuttle from Cardiff Heliport to Celtic Manor during the Ryder Cup 2010.
In October 2010, golfers from both sides of the Atlantic will congregate in South Wales, together with large numbers of spectators. Traffic in the area will be strictly controlled, with access to the site only permitted for passengers on Park and Ride services – unless you arrive by helicopter. A special heliport at The Celtic Manor will be operated for the duration of the event, with courtesy transport to the golf course and spectator areas.
For the discerning traveller who recognises the benefits of arriving by helicopters - fast travelling times, convenient departure point and luxury accommodation on the way - there is simply no other comparable mode of transport

Bray Summerfest, by kind permission of Bray Town Council, are delighted to announce a new addition to the extensive list of attractions. A free (NO tickets required) public air display will take place on Sunday July 25th 2010 at 3.30pm on the spectacular Bray Seafront. This Family day has something for all the family from a funfair, Static Display and Parachuting, Aerobatics, Search and Rescue demonstration etc.
Visiting Helicopters are welcome to the Bray Air Display.
All arrivals must be in by 1400.
No Departures prior to 1800.
A landing fee of €100 per helicopter will be collected and donated evenly between St Vincent De Paul and the Chernobyl Children's Project.

Simtech handled the Helicopter Operations for the 2009 Irish World Rally Championships which saw the largest number of helicopters registered in the history of the WRC.
The FIA( governing body for the world rally championship) described the WRC 2009 Helicopter Operation as above reproach!
